Charter schools are the only mechanism for free educational choice in California and most states. However, rapid expansion due to parents choosing charter schools has created growing pains. Some laws are vague and others are clearly intended to damage charters and, in doing so, educational choice for K-12 families. And sadly, a small percentage of charter operators have acted unethically and illegally.
As an organization we're grateful to operate in California, and particularly in this time where the civil right of school choice is being threatened in a state where personal freedom is supposedly valued. In order to provide our customers and the public with relevant information on key issues we've created a new "transparency" web page. We'll continue to update it and keep it current.
